I was born in Athens, Greece. Currently I live between Berlin and Athens. I am just another woman who loves photography, fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time traveling and collaborating with great people and reality behind my camera.
Until today, I am convinced that the essence of photography is Black & White. In other words, it is all about the light and the lack of it.
My efforts are unsuccessful, nevertheless continuous to capture this exact little moment; when, through my lens, the shadow stops moving with the sun: The rock, the sea, the flower escapes the chaos of reality, and becomes a photograph.
It achieves a position within the world, its own identity at the moment. It stands firm (ίσταται -hístate) and looks out (ορά- orà) right in the centre of the lens, and I hope it achieves a position (history- ιστορία).
